We created a virtual customer journey for the historic Savile Row tailor, Anderson & Sheppard.

World-renowned tailors Anderson & Sheppard approached Circus to create virtual tours of their bespoke tailoring showroom and haberdashery in the heart of London’s Savile Row. But we recognised that customers buy into the experience and the process rather than the showroom itself. 

Taking an innovative approach with virtual tour technology, we created an immersive and interactive experience that takes customers on the unique journey of buying a tailored suit.

Using 360 video, audio descriptions and premium imagery that reflects Anderson & Sheppard’s heritage, we created a curated tour that brings the experience to life for customers. Customers that may be new to the process, that need reassurance and who are making a highly considered purchase. Along the way, we took the chance to showcase the lovely setting, the people who will serve you, and the craftsmanship which goes into the suits.

Bespoke tailoring in London needs no introduction. Just the words ‘Savile Row’ conjure up images of expert craftsmanship, exceptional service and luxury traditional clothing. We can see the faces of the customers, including A-list stars and royalty, dressed in perfectly cut suits. And we can feel the centuries of history sewn up in those few Mayfair streets.

Anderson & Sheppard approached us to create virtual tours of their showroom and haberdashery. They wanted to make themselves more visible online, attract new customers and reassure first-timers. 

But we realised something.

The place isn’t the story. Beautiful as they can be, customers don’t buy tailored suits based on the showroom. They buy because of the experience, the journey and the confidence they have in the process. 

So, we reimagined the brief to put the customer at the heart of everything. Instead of just merely showcasing the location, we put the spotlight on what the buyer can expect. We guide them through the entire process from meeting the tailor, choosing the fabric, getting measured, to finally walking away with the suit, with plenty of steps in between.

We visited Anderson & Sheppard’s showroom and haberdashery to capture 360 imagery and videos of both premises. Featuring staff and customers, with guided voiceovers to take the user on their journey, they can move through the rooms sequentially. Clickable hotspots give the user more information about the history of Anderson & Sheppard, assistance with the online store, watch product videos, meet the staff and get a feel for the space. All that’s needed is a web browser.

Bespoke tailoring needs the personal touch. And customers expect a premium experience. However, customers need reassurance. Especially if it’s their first, and perhaps only, time making such a purchase. 

While the experience is incredible and the resulting suit something truly special, it can also be daunting. We were asked to make it accessible. To make every customer feel like they belong. And to make Anderson & Sheppard stand out from the crowd. 

And we did. Nobody else on Savile Row has anything so rich, so immersive, and so interactive.

Customers enter the store and meet their tailor. They’re taken through to choose their fabric and get measured up. Clickable hotspots explain the parts of the process. Why should they choose one fabric over another? Is one better for summer or winter? Where does it come from? All vital parts of a bespoke suit. 

Customers are shown where they’ll look through hundreds of swatches and understand why it’s an important choice. A choice that can take time but is worth every minute spent. Moving through, they’ll see the cutting rooms and workshops where expert tailors have spent decades plying their trade. They’ll be taken through the process of returning to the store for a fitting, and finally, what happens before they take their perfectly tailored suit home.

Combining premium imagery with a luxury feel and custom CTAs, we created an asset that communicates Anderson & Sheppard’s heritage, story and highest levels of customer service.
