Ardonagh Community Trust Virtual Exhibition

An interactive virtual exhibition shares Ardonagh Community Trust’s CSR success with a global audience

We worked with Ardonagh Community Trust to help them bring their ACT: A Retrospective exhibition to their global network of offices. The virtual exhibition faithfully recreates the in-person event, taking viewers on a guided, immersive journey through the physical space. 360 photos, animated graphics and embedded videos recreate each exhibit, bringing it to life, telling the story and leaving a lasting impression.

Just like the projects ACT supports.

Since 2017, the Ardonagh Community Trust has been supporting over 1000 incredible community, social and sustainability projects all over the world. Together with colleagues, partners and Ardonagh businesses, they’ve donated over £5.6m for good causes.

In June 2025, they held the ACT: A Retrospective exhibition in The Orangery at Kensington Palace to celebrate their success. Featuring four distinctly themed areas, attendees could explore the space and interact with exhibits in their own time.

Real telephones play testimonials of their work with The Samaritans. A wall of cycling jerseys highlights nine years of Ride4Life stories. A fully-functioning DJ booth features Spotify tracks from musicians they’ve supported. An engaging interactive world map shows the scale of their global efforts.

But how do we do such an exhibition justice for those who couldn’t make it?

We knew a simple virtual tour wouldn’t be enough. The actual exhibits had to be brought to life to recreate the impact of the true experience.

Our interactive virtual exhibition lets viewers navigate the beautiful space as they would have on the day. Animations and graphics preface each area and anchor the exhibition’s narrative, while high-quality 360 imagery allows them to explore more than 50 exhibits in any order they like. Each can be clicked on to read the story and interact with embedded audio and visual media.

As it is intended to be viewed by Ardonagh staff, partners and stakeholders around the world, the text is fully translatable within their browser.

We loved working with the Ardonagh staff and crew to recreate their stunning exhibition in the virtual world.

Everything was being set up and taken down on the same day, so we only had a 45-minute window to shoot everything between the set-up being finished and guests arriving. Fortunately, their fantastic organisational skills really helped us work within the tight timeframe, and we were able to arrive, set up, shoot and pack down before the event started.

However, once we’d captured all of our high-resolution 360 imagery, the much bigger task of faithfully recreating the exhibition began. We knew that doing such a richly interactive experience justice would be tough, but we’re delighted with the results.

“We worked with Circus to capture the exhibition that we held at Kensington Palace’s Orangery. On quite a tight timeframe (at all points!), the team were super professional, friendly, and the quality of their work was outstanding.

From the first call to delivery of the final virtual tour, they kept us in the loop and provided updates along the way. The team were great at problem-solving and helped us navigate a few curveballs, whilst also delivering on time and on budget.

Thank you to Jay and the whole team who helped to extend the reach of our exhibition.”

We’re currently busy putting it onto VR headsets that will take the exhibition on a global tour, with each office experiencing it for a couple of weeks before sending it on to the next.
